This is a selection from my diary from the United Arab Emirates, featuring photos taken between 2020 and 2024. During this time, I chose to be based in the UAE as the whole world was closing down, and it was one of the only safe and open places. In this transformative period, I met my future wife, and together, we embarked on an incredible journey across the country. Our travels took us far beyond the typical tourist spots, allowing us to discover hidden gems and experience the UAE from a unique, insider’s perspective.

These diaries capture not only the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture of the UAE but also the personal growth and profound moments we experienced along the way. You will find photos from the serene Oman border, the majestic mountains in Ras Al Khaimah, and my favorite desert next to Al Ain. These locations are not just beautiful backdrops but hold significant personal meaning to me.

Through my lens, I aim to offer an intimate glimpse into the rich fabric of life in the Emirates during a time of global uncertainty and change. The desert emerges not as a barren wasteland, but as a canvas of textures, colors, and hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. It invites us to pause, to lean in closer, and to immerse ourselves in the intricacies of the landscape.
